Set against the historic backdrop of Turner Hill in Ipswich, Massachusetts, this winter wedding embraced rich tones, candlelight, dramatic architecture, and lush florals accented with trailing vines and clusters of grapes. Every detail felt timeless, romantic, and full of character.
There was also a subtle nod to one of the couple's favorite films, The Godfather—woven throughout the celebration in the form of rich colors, timeless elegance, cherished traditions, and an unwavering devotion to family.
A Meaningful Return
This wedding was especially meaningful for us because just months earlier, we had the honor of planning the bride's brother's wedding. Being invited back by the same family to help celebrate another milestone is one of the greatest compliments we can receive.
Having already built relationships with many of the family members, there was a sense of familiarity and trust throughout the planning process that made this celebration even more special.
Historic Architecture & Old-World Elegance
Turner Hill provided the perfect setting for this celebration. The mansion's grand staircases, historic interiors, and beautiful grounds created a stunning backdrop for portraits and meaningful moments throughout the day.
Inside, candlelit tables, layered textures, and abundant florals created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Fruit woven throughout the floral design added depth and richness, enhancing the old-world feel of the evening and creating details that at times felt reminiscent of a classic European painting.
A Celebration Centered on Family
While the design was beautiful, the heart of this wedding was family. From heartfelt moments throughout the day to an energetic dance floor that carried late into the evening, every part of the celebration felt joyful, welcoming, and deeply personal.
